Artist — Rimmi Srivastav… playing Raavi in the show ‘RAAVI’ aired on BIG MAGIC every Monday — Friday at 7pm.

RAAVI is a light entertainment show about a little girl called Raavi whose mother takes a dramatic life decision to disguise her as a boy, due to peculiar circumstances. While Raavi’s true identity is hidden, in the larger interest of safeguarding villagers as well as her own family’s stakes, it initiates an extremely interesting cat and mouse game cleverly handled by little Raavi who plays dual roles dexterously. The show evokes curiosity about why a mother would make a choice of this kind for her own child! With a novel story plot and a child in the center of it playing dual roles, the show is sure to take audiences on an enjoyable entertainment experience.

  1. Rimi Srivastav what is your age and where do you study?

I am 6 years old and I study at Ryan International in Mumbai.

  1. How did you get this opportunity?

Taurus productions had called me when they organized auditions for the show. I was very confident during the audition and it went very well. They must have liked the way I said my lines because they chose me to play Raavi. I’m very excited to play this role and I’m so glad that they chose me.

  1. What is your role in this serial? Please explain it in detail.

I play Raavi, a young girl who has to pretend to be a boy due to some circumstances in her life. The show is about the journey of her life and the fun she has in her dual role. The show airs Monday to Friday at 7pm on Big Magic. Raavi is a fun loving and bindaas girl. She is very smart. Though she is very young, she understands why she has to disguise like a boy. I am having great fun playing both roles. I think everyone is going to love watching the mischievous Raavi and Ravinder.

  1. You being a girl, are doing double role as a boy and as a girl? Did you face any problem during this role?

Playing both roles is fun and different. My role in the show is very important, a big role, so I have to work hard to learn my lines and manners but I’m having great fun playing both a boy and a girl. The director and cast are very supportive. The make-up uncle also does a great job on me — they are very quick.

I feel I am very lucky to be a part of this show that too in a lead role. It’s is a very good role and I’m excited to play it.

My favorite actresses are Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor. I love dressing up and imitating them. When I grow up, I want to be like them. I like Sachin Tendulkar also.

  1. Who suggested you to get into the Television world?

I first started doing small advertisements when I was around 3 and half years old. I realized I really liked being on TV/ being in front of the camera. I love going for auditions. It’s so much fun. My parents are very supportive and they always encourage me when I decide to try out for a new role.

  1. How do you manage your study and acting?

The production crew, my family and my school have been very supportive of my acting endeavors. My parents ensure that I follow a strict schedule.  I shoot only 3 hours in a day and that leaves me enough time for play and studies.

  1. Do you want to continue your acting along with study?

Yes. I really like playing different characters and would love to keep acting while finishing my schooling.
