1987 born commerce post graduate Punjabi Kudi, Binny Sharma who grabbed eyeballs in ‘Dance India Dance’ has stormed the small screen again. Binny essays the lead character, Meera on Sahara One’s Tujh Sang Preet Lagayi Sajna. The cute, charming Binny who charmed the viewers with her role in ‘Sanjog Se Bani Sangini’, has now bagged a meaty role of a simple, sweet and next door kind of girl Meera whose aim is to fulfill her and her parents dream. She is one upbeat actor full of cheer and positive energy as she shares her excitement with us.
Tell us about your background?
Since being runner up in ‘Dance India dance’ show, I have appeared in ‘Sanjog Se Bani Sangini’, anchored a Awards function, done commercial ads down South and also have a good theatre experience.
Tell us about your character Meera?
Meera is a very simple, sweet and next door kind of girl. Born and brought up in a simple middle class MARWARI family. Her parents are co operative and have always encouraged her for studies and a good career. Meera is equally good at household work and can balance the same along with her studies. She is happy and content in her life and aims to fulfill her and her parent’s dream.
How did ‘Tujh Sang Preet Lagayi Sajna’ happen?
The team of Creative Eye Productions contacted me for the role. I liked the concept of the show and moreover my character which has emotional shades to it. I just didn’t waste any time to sign the show after that.
What excited you about the role?
Though I have played a lead character in my earlier show, Meera’s character in Tujh Sang…is far more challenging. Meera is real as possible and I am giving out my best, essaying her.
How close is the character of Meera with that of Binny in real?
Meera and Binny are almost alike except for some characters. Also one has to give a part of your personality to every character you play. There has to be an element of truth in it. I can say that Meera is as real as I could be.
What is your take on life’s philosophy?
Be the way you are. Just believe in yourself, be determined towards your goal and definitely you will get success in your life.
Your hobbies….?
Dancing, watching movies and listening music.
So what are your future plans?
I am working in films also. Recently I have done a item number in an upcoming film.
