Pool Professionals and PPM, Inc. Join Together to Host Holiday Food Drive

(Free Press Release) This effort, named the Neighbors Helping Neighbors Holiday Food Drive is aimed at raising 5,000 pounds of food for struggling families in the Triangle area.

Raleigh, NC - December 03, 2010 -- Pool Professionals, a North Carolina-based pool management company, has teamed up with property management company, PPM, Inc. to sponsor a holiday food drive.

This effort, named the Neighbors Helping Neighbors Holiday Food Drive is aimed at raising 5,000 pounds of food for struggling families in the Triangle area. PPM, located at 6737 Falls of Neuse Road in Raleigh, will serve as an unofficial collection site for the NC food bank.

To kick off the food drive Pool Professionals donated 58 frozen turkeys, totaling 730 pounds of food, to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina, just in time for Thanksgiving.

“We have been very fortunate to have a successful year and we are very appreciative of the opportunity to work with PPM on this wonderful project,” said Pool Professionals President & Founder, David Harvey. “When we became aware shortly before Thanksgiving that the Food Bank had a shortage of turkey‘s we felt that this would be a great way to make a difference. We are happy that this contribution has helped many families enjoy a happy Thanksgiving.”

The turkeys were distributed to food pantries & soup kitchens throughout the Triangle area, including St. Anna Food Pantry, Upper Room Food Pantry, and Tri-Area Ministries Soup Kitchen & Food Pantry.
