(Free Press Release) Houston, TX - Lori Lemon Geshay thought she had it all. She was intelligent, beautiful, successful and engaged to the man of her dreams. True love had come her way and life was grand. But after a trip to New York to pick out a wedding dress, Geshay returned home to learn her Prince Charming was no prince at all. The cruelty of the deception he perpetrated was devastating. Crushed, Geshay flung herself into an abyss of misery and decided to say goodbye to true love forever.
Not.
“My heartache was no different than the heartache women feel everyday,” says Geshay. “So I decided to look for true love on my own terms. To set my standards high and find a man I deserve and who deserves me and I decided to write about it.”
So began the odyssey that would eventually become Dating Diva Adventures. Like a real life Carrie Bradshaw, Geshay wrote about her new quest for true love. In short, witty chapters, Geshay dishes about her dating hits and misses and the lessons she‘s learned along the way.
“Dating is like dancing,” she says with a wink. “Dance with the right partner and you feel as though you‘re floating on air. Dance with the wrong partner and, well…the song just can‘t end soon enough.”
Among other things, this dating Diva has learned that:
• Men are simple creatures
• Rejection teaches humility and vulnerability which can be very sexy!
• Communication is key whether texting, emailing or calling the message is more important than the method
• Being pretty is not an entitlement and sometimes you have to work a little harder to show people who you really are
• With sex: No one values anything that comes easily
• Nice things are nice but at the end of the day, a Birkin bag can‘t hug you back
• …and once more with feeling men are simple creatures loveable, but really simple
“We all must find laughter in the adventure that lies within the quest for true love,” she says. “And true love is out there. I know it is.”
Lori Lemon Geshay moved to New York City from her home in Georgia at the age of 18 and never looked back. A world traveler, Geshay is currently the director of business development for an IT firm in Texas. Prior to that, Geshay worked successfully in modeling and acting appearing briefly on Another World and The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd. She has also written the popular dating advice column, Ask the Dating Diva. Geshay likes to say, “I‘m not a dating expert…I‘ve just dated more than most!”
