Nihar Shanti Amla in association with CRY has benefitted 1, 13,294 children in 2 years across the country
Continues on the mission for the 3rd consecutive year
Uttar Pradesh: Nihar Naturals Shanti Amlain partnership withCRY continues on its journey to enable children’s education in India. As part of the “Chotte Kadam Pragati Ki Aur” initiative, 2% of all proceeds from the sale of Nihar Shanti Amla are contributed to CRY towards the cause of children’s education.
Launched in September 2012, Nihar Naturals Shanti Amla has so far supported 37 projects across 15 states, impacting lives and giving the opportunity for education to 1, 13,294 children across the country. It’s great to see that both girls and boys in rural areas are being benefitted in good numbers. Total number of girls impacted through the initiative are 53,555 and 59,739 are boys. The brand with this collective effort is empowering the consumer to take her small steps towards contributing to children’s education. This initiative by Nihar Shanti Amla and CRY has successfully helped children enrol into schools and re-enrol drop outs.
Representing the brand, Vidya Balan in the last 2 years visited project villages to drive awareness of the cause and motivate consumer’s to take their small steps towards the cause. She launched the Mobile tutorial in September 2013 that enables children to learn Basic English words by calling on the toll free number 18001208989. Children can learn English in a very fun and interactive manner and 1.4 lakh+ participants have benefitted from the tutorial so far. Sharing her experience of spending a day in the project villages,Vidya said, "I am proud to be associated with this cause. Nihar Naturals Shanti Amla is working towards building a brighter future for India by aiding the cause of education for young children. They are also encouraging women to be at the forefront of this change”Vidya also met women of local self-help groups.These women in themselves are harbingers of change, and Nihar Shanti Amla aims to enhance those efforts with added support and inspiration," she added.
