Parkinson Disease Explained:
We know that Parkinson's disease occurs when in the the brain 's area called substantially nigra the nerves that producing the dopamine messenger molecules are damaged or destroyed. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter substances for brain structures for the flicker-free, smooth, skeletal (voluntary muscle movements contractor) functioning. The number of dopamine-producing nerve cells is reduced during the natural aging, but if at least half of the initial cell count is preserved, the disease will not develop, any hand-shake will be slight at old age.
However the dopamine producing neurons of substantially nigra are particularly susceptible to the harmful chemical substances that provides a basis for the development of Parkinson's disease.
Genetic factors
Researchers assumes that some of the genes contributing to the development of Parkinson's disease but has not yet been elucidated how significant is it's role in heredity diseases. Patients with first-degree relatives (parent, child, sibling) are more likely to suffer from the disease than those without family involvement, although this risk is not too high.
Environmental factors
The drug users, as well as people exposed to certain industrial chemicals, herbicides and rodenticides are more likely to develop Parkinson's disease than those who are not in contact with such materials.

Many pharmaceutical drugs taken over a long period or in high doses can cause similar symptoms to Parkinson disease. Such as haloperidol, chlorpomazine which is used in certain psychiatric diseases, and methoclopramid also used to treat nausea. Valproate used to treat epilepsy may also produce some of the symptoms of Parkinson's disease, particularly severe shaking (tremor). However, these drugs do not cause a genuine Parkinson's disease, symptoms disappear (rapidly or slowly) after drug withdrawal.
