Indore, October 13th, 2014: Virtual Voyage, one of the leading and quality colleges of Design Media & management is helping students in choosing their career according to their interest and providing them ample career opportunities. Today its fashion students are gearing up for the Annual fashion show on the theme — “I love MP”, for which the pre production activities are in full swing. Today, Discipline Leader in Fashion Design Mr. Arun John Lakra visited the institute and worked with the students in various areas like Conceptualization of design and theme format for the Fashion show. He also taught them the art of fabric sourcing and its unique details. The students prepared a unique inspiration board on the basis of which they would design their clothes. The students worked on inspiration from the natural bodies like Bedaghat in MP to the Rajbara architectural wonder of Indore.
Mr. Lakra is an Independent Design Professional at INDEPENDENT DESIGN PROFESSIONAL. After completing his studies from NID and NIFT, he has been DGM - Design & Development at COED (Centre of Excellence in Design), Deputy Manager at Lee Cooper and Deputy Manager - Design at Pantaloon Retail India Ltd. His specialities include- Men’s wear (Formal & Casual), Design Research, Research Methodology, Fashion/ Trend Forecasting, Buying, Prints / Graphics, Crafts, Illustrations for fashion/ design, Culture & Lifestyle, Animation & Graphic design and Surface Ornamentation.
Talking about it, Mr. Abhay Jain, Director, Virtual Voyage said, “This year our annual show is going to be a bang. Our students are working hard for it with the support of internationally acclaimed mentors. We all are waiting to see what they are going to present this year.”
