MBD Group signs a MoU with National Skill Development Corporation

 

MBD Group, one of the leading Education Companies in India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Skill Development Corporation under Project UDAAN to train and provide jobs to 5000 students at New Delhi. MBD Skills Division, a part of MBD Group will provide skill development training in the field of IT, ITES & Hospitality, with the aim of bridging the gap between the supply and demand of skilled manpower.

Under this MoU, graduates, 3 year diploma holders and post graduate youths from J&K will be trained on various courses like Desktop Publishing, Retail, Sales, Front Office etc., for various industry segments like Publishing, e-Learning, Hospitality etc. MBD Group has recently participated in the UDAAN mega drive in Jammu and will be conducting few drives in the coming months. MBD Group has also trained 20,000 pupils under the Capacity Building Program and aims to train 1 million people by the year 2022.

Talking about the partnership, Dilip Chenoy, MD & CEO, NSDC said, "We are pleased to partner with MBD Group under Project Udaan, which is in line of the project's mission of bringing about a positive change in the employment and skills space of Jammu and Kashmir. We are absolutely confident in their capability to skill the youth of J&K, thereby changing their lives."

 

Commenting on the MoU, Mrs. Monica Malhotra, Sr. Director — MBD Group said the group has been in the education field since 1956 and we operate in the J&K region since 1973, it’s an opportunity for us to train and help the youth of J&K to find jobs and we are honored to be a part of Project UDAAN with NSDC which aims to make a positive difference in millions of youths of our country. Skills is a priority sector for us and the group aims at training more and more youth of the country and facilitating placements for them.
