The coming round of assembly poll will see a faceoff between the ruling party, which won the Lok Sabha poll in April-May with a thumping majority, and the opposition which lost the elections in not such a pleasant manner. In the last assembly elections which were held in 2009 near about 48% of the total registered voters exercised their franchise in the state, this year the percentage is expected to increase.
