Marshall Barnes, that's Marshall Barnes, R&D Eng, to distinguish him from the DJ and the reggae artist and the female country singer (which I don't even known why she has a boy's name in the first place) and all the other lessor mortals with his name. Yes, I said it - lessor mortals, because who of these actually has the powers that Marshall Barnes does? Hmm? He's made kids look invisible by bending light at the USA Science and Engineering Festival in 2010 (in fact he has the only permanent museum exhibit in the world on invisibility in Columbus, OH) he does music, video, documentaries, the list goes on. He won the bet over the Higgs Boson particle with Stephen Hawking in July and, and this should be taken very seriously, he holds now not only the prototype technology for warp drive but for a time machine, as well. In fact, he's beating Ronald Mallett at of the University of Connecticut for it. Don't believe me? Check out http://www.thegreattimemachinerace.weebly.com .

But now he's moving into the world of high priced art. He's going to use his time machine prototype to create a $1,000,000 artwork. Marshall is no new comer to the art world, albeit it has been on a small scale. He's been part of exhibits in Columbus, OH including his own one man show, and he has art that he created with another invention of his - the Programable Televsion Synthesizer or P.TVsynth(â„¢), on display at artslant.com, Behance.net and ArtReview.com. Furthermore, his background includes video art, music video production, special effect design and more. What makes him specal though is his apparent persistence of vision, the ability to see things that others don't and far ahead of when they'll ever get a clue.

And so it is with his Verdrehung art project. His plan is to take his Verdrehung Fan(â„¢) proto-time machine and use it to make a piece of photographic art, in conjunction with the P.TVsynth(â„¢). It won't be a picture of the Verdrehung Fan(â„¢) just sitting there but the space-warping effect created by the Verdrehung Fan(â„¢), synthesized with the output if the P.TVsynth to make a whole new creation. A one of a kind, first of its kind ever created, with a device that will eventually end time as we know it.

A press release about this whole affair hit the web recently - http://www.prlog.org/12032773-fresh-from-radio-victory-marshall-barnes-prepares-to-create-1000000-artwork.html and featured a picture of the Verdrehung Fan(â„¢) in action and it would not be too difficult to imagine that some interesting results could come from its utilization into the service of the arts. With Marshall's artistic background, I would suspect that he would come up with an interesting piece of work. But the price is a little steep - a cool $1,000,000, but there seems to be a method to his madness.

Enter Billionaire.com and their article by Christian Barker on Tim Jefferies of London's Hamiltons Gallery. In that piece, Jefferies is noted for describing how a number of his well heeled clients are disappointed to discover that a photograph that is part of a set of 60 could be worth $100,000 or more. They want a one of a kind, an exclusive. Marshall Barnes to the rescue! Not only will his piece be a one of a kind, but he states that the true color of the one sold will never be released - only tinted versions. Furthermore, the buyer gets to determine the size and will receive as a bonus, a DVD of how the artwork was created, further verifying its authenticity. A first of its kind and the only print print available, autographed, and made with the technology of the first proto-time machine in history? All it would take is the right kind of collector, like a Bill Gates or Richard Branson or some rich oil sheik or Russian billionaire that would want to have it because of its significance. It doesn't matter that Marshall isn't a darling of the art world yet, because the value will come from the fact of what it is and that's more important than art. It's art made with the technology that is on the way to changing the world, not only as we've known it but as all of mankind has ever known it. The minute that Marshall gets the Verdrehung Fan(â„¢) to become a full time machine, then that artwork will sky rocket in value - a few art appraisers who I've checked with have already confirmed this - off the record, of course.

So Marshall Barnes would seem to be on his way. With a lecture/demonstration tour being planned, radio interviews already under his belt and more being scheduled, merchandise and various products in production, scoring a sale of his million dollar artwork would be a major coup, but a coup that is realistic and within his reach.

World, watch out. The game changer of the 21st century has arrived.
