Mumbai, October 2016:  TV actress Deeksha Sonalkar is known for her love for make-up. She developed her interest in make-up at the beginning of her acting career and has been building her make-up collection ever since. With her current role in Zindagi’s ‘Khwaabon Ki Zamin Par’ that airs every Monday to Saturday at 10 PM, as the glamourous film star ‘Shikha Roy’, not only does Deeksha get to indulge in her favourite hobby but she also works closely with her make-up expert on the look that they need to create for each scene.

 

Speaking on her passion for make-up, the self-proclaimed make-up junkie said, “What inspires me is how easily make-up can change a person’s face. Looking at people with not even an ounce of make-up on, makes me think of a thousand ideas on how I can change their look. Every individual has unique features and working around them to give them different looks intrigues me. If I don’t act in the future, I’d like to be a make-up professional.” The actress also experiments with make-up in her personal life and hopes to create a series of make-up videos on social media.

 

Ask her for make-up tips and the actress quips, “Always take care of your skin. If your skin is not healthy, no amount of makeup can cover it up and it will only make your skin worse. Eyes are the first thing someone notices while having a conversation, so always highlight your eyes while doing make-up.”

 

Produced by Anupam Kher’s production company Actor Prepares, ‘Khwaabon Ki Zamin Par’ is the story of a 24-year-old boy, Arya Kashyap (Ashish Kadian) who leaves behind his girlfriend, Niyati Bajpayee (Megha Chakroborty), and his family to come to Bombay to fulfil his dream of becoming a Bollywood star! Arya comes across a beautiful and successful film star, Shikha Roy, whom he is not very fond of. Her presence in his life changes everything for him in a very unexpected way. Will he choose his love or dreams?
