After completing his Education Mr. Nitin started his brief stint in politics. He has been leader with Congress Party for almost four decades. In his political journey, Raut has successfully held many positions as Vice President of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee, General Secretary Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee, member of the Core Group and Media Committee, etc.. Apart from politics, he published many books and has won awards to his credit for his contribution to his field. Mr. Nitin is actively involved in social work through his NGO, Named Sankalp, this NGO works for the upliftment of Dalits and provides relief to victims of natural and man-made calamities.
