Wine is an essential component to enjoying and experiencing art. Sterling Vineyards and artist, Jim Lively are “partnering” to take the relationship of wine and art to the next level where wine actually becomes part of the creative process in making art. Sterling Vineyards invited Lively to exhibit ten of his paintings from the new “Sterling Vineyards” series of red wine paintings at Sterling Vineyards during the 2014 Napa Valley Art in April from April 1 to April 30, 2014.

Who could imagine attending an art exhibition at a prominent art gallery, if wine were not served? Wine is an essential component to enjoying and experiencing art. Sterling Vineyards and and LuminArte Gallery represented artist, Jim Lively are “partnering” to take the relationship of wine and art to the next level where wine actually becomes part of the creative process in making art. Recently, Lively experimented with using wine as a medium for various figurative and abstract paintings in his new “Red Wine” series of paintings.

When the experimentation with the use of wine proved to be successful, he thought of approaching selected vineyards with the concept of incorporating exclusively one vineyard’s wine in a series of paintings. When Lively pitched the idea to Sterling Vineyards, it was onboard and invited Lively to exhibit ten of his paintings from the new “Sterling Vineyards” series of red wine paintings during the 2014 Napa Valley Art in April from April 1 to April 30, 2014. Along with Lively’s paintings, Sterling Vineyards will be exhibiting artworks by San Francisco artist Vaso Peritos , the "Story of a Winery" exhibition by Ansel Adams and selected pieces from the Sterling Vineyards Private Art Collection.
