(Free Press Release) The Hanoi based tour operator Lotussia Travel announces today the launch of a 6-day multi-activity tour to Lai Chau, Muong Lay, Phong Tho, Tam Duong in the northern Vietnam. The tour also includes such activities and experiences as 4WD, trekking, homestay in hilltribe villages, visiting ethnic market and river rafting which are available only at Lotussia Travel.

The 6-day adventure begins in Dien Bien Phu, the most important province during the French war in the year fifties. Travelers can either fly from Hanoi to Dien Bien Phu or hire a private vehicle to travel through Mai Chau, Son La.

After spending a half day visiting Dien Bien Phu war sites, travelers will travel towards Lai Chau province. After about two hour drive, they will make a stop by a Thai village and begin the 4-day trek. The trek will take travelers through ethnic villages and terraced rice fields.

Travelers will pass by the remotest hill tribe villages are scattering on hill side. They will have the opportunity to meet up with lots of Vietnamese ethnic groups such as the White H‘mong, the Black Dzao, the Flower H‘mong who still keep their customs and traditions. They still wear the traditional cloths and live their traditional way.

Most of the nights are spent in a local house. Travelers will have the opportunity to talk with the host, to taste the local food and to get much knowledge of the local culture.

After 4 day trek, travelers will be picked up again by their support vehicle and transferred to Lai Chau where they will spend the night in a hotel.

The following day, they will be transferred to an ethnic village, located just by the river where they will get off of the vehicle beginning the river rafting expedition this is also a highlight of the tour. The river wave is not very strong in winter time. Paddling downstream the river will be a real fun experience. A visit to local ethnic villages, are located by the river is also available during the rafting tour. The trip is sometimes challenging as the raft goes through river crossings or the areas where the river turns its direction.

Once the rafting takes its end, travelers will be picked up again and transferred to Sapa, an then onto Laocai where they will take the overnight train for travelling back to Hanoi.
