25, September 2014: Travellers with a passion for music and luxury wine are preparing for this year’s Jamaica Reggae Wine Festival. This hugely popular event is scheduled to take place on October the 18th at the Whitter Village resort in Montego Bay. It will be the perfect showcase for internationally sourced wines and the most talented musicians on the sunshine island. Those wishing to stay in a Jamaica luxury hotel should book well in advance, say experts.

Festival organiser Carlos Daley has booked a variety of top quality acts for the event. Romain Virgo will be entertaining the crowds with his special blend of romantic Reggae favourites, and the multi-talented Leroy Sibbles and sultry soul sister Sugah will also be taking to the main stage.

The outstanding selection of luxury wines will undoubtedly be the main attraction for international travellers booking a stay in a Jamaica luxury hotel in readiness for the wine sampling sessions. World-renowned sommelier Chris Joyce will be presenting his choice of exquisite reds and whites, sourced from the Californian Napa Valley region. Specialist producers such as 1876 Wines and Betco Premier Limited will also be offering their products.

As the organiser, Carlos Daley has high hopes for the far-reaching benefits of the festival. “Reggae has always been crucial part of Jamaica, and this festival will further highlight the great talents we have in music while also creating an atmosphere for wine lovers to experience an array of wines within a beautiful location,” he says.

Tickets for the event are being sold online but organisers say prospective attendees should purchase as soon as possible as excitement builds in the run up to the festival. Organiser Carlos Daley is soon to make announcements regarding the availability of fine cuisine and artistic programmes during the event. Some of Jamaica’s leading fashion designers are also expected to showcase their latest clothes at Whitter Village.

This will be the fourth year that the Jamaica Reggae Wine Festival has taken place. Organisers say the reschedule from August to October will have a positive impact on the festival’s popularity among local Jamaicans and tourists. They are also hopeful that people will take the opportunity to stay at first class Jamaica luxury hotel accommodation in Montego Bay to boost tourist numbers.
