Advantages and aspects of e-filing are revealed in a new article, including filing as soon as possible and getting a refund sooner, on the Internet Tax Connection website.

November 23, 2015 — A new article published at InternetTaxConnection.com by tax preparation expert Frank Ellis discusses the benefits of e-filing and how it can help get a refund faster in 2016. Filing quickly and using tax software help to have tax returns processed faster. Compared to paper filing, says the author, e-filing is faster and safer and certainly better for getting back a refund sooner.

The advantages of e-filing are provided next. Frank Ellis reveals it makes sure information is secure, although one must go to a tax preparer, use tax software, or participate in Free File programs. The IRS also provides quick confirmations electronically, usually within 24 hours after submittal. Confirmations or rejections are received in a short time, so if a return is rejected the necessary steps can be taken quickly to get the tax return approved.

Ellis then lists the limitations of e-filing. Not everyone can do so, including if the taxpayer claims a dependent who someone else claimed, or they filed a tax form that’s not available electronically. Taxpayers also cannot e-file if they did before or after certain dates.

Although it takes longer, paper filing is still a good option, the author says. He provides a few tips for doing so. Some including writing one’s name and social security number on the back/front of each page. Correct addresses, proper calculations, and mailing to the right service center are important. Ellis reveals even more tips to ensure tax returns are processed by the deadline.

Lastly, the benefits of filing online are covered. Taxpayers are asked the right questions so they file the deductions necessary to get a large refund. H&R Block and TurboTax are great for this purpose and also let one import their W2 information directly into the tax return. A free tax refund estimator is also mentioned.
