Bangalore, 13 April, 2016: The International Tech Park Bangalore (ITPB), Ascendas-Singbridge’s flagship IT Park in India has received Gold Certification for six of its operating office buildings at the final review of U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) in the existing buildings category.

The Phase 1 ‘A’ comprising three buildings (Discoverer, Innovator and Creator) which started operations in year 2000 was awarded LEED Gold rating by the US Green Building Council (USGBC) in the existing building category. The other three buildings (Explorer, Inventor and Navigator) which went operational in year 2003, 2004 and 2007 respectively also received Gold rating awarded by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC).

Buildings operating at the ITPB SEZ area, viz. Voyager, Aviator and Victor had already obtained LEED Silver, Platinum and Gold ratings respectively at the design and development stage. The recent certifications of existing buildings mark the completion of green certifications of all nine office buildings at ITPB.

The rating has been awarded to ITPB on achieving all prerequisites under five environmental categories which include - Site & Facility Management, Water Efficiency, Energy Efficiency, Health & Comfort and Innovation as defined by USGBC and IGBC for Green Existing Building Category.
