Greensboro, NC — 11/24/2014 -- International Institute for Aging and Wellness (IIAW) today named Dr. Marilyn Watts as International Liaison to the organization that advocates for the global well-being of women, girls and older adults.

According to IIAW’s Executive Director, Sondra Wright, Watts will oversee the organization’s global outreach, communication and collaboration activities. Part of her focus will be to assist the organization in their efforts to create strategic partnerships with organizations worldwide.  “We are very happy to have Marilyn join the IIAW family, says Wright.  “She has a natural passion for the health, safety and well-being of others that will be a tremendous asset to our team. I am confident she will do an incredible job furthering the important work IIAW is dedicated to doing.”

“I am thrilled and honored to serve as International Liaison of the International Institute for Aging and Wellness, says Watts. “Creating global alliances and working closely with organizations that also work to expand the health, education and human rights of women, girls and older citizens around the world will be a major part of my agenda.”

Watts, a native of Dallas, TX., entered the healthcare field in 1999, as a board certified pediatrician. Watts spent her career as a pediatric physician in Memphis, TN. She later began the practice of Ayurvedic medicine, with a goal of writing fewer prescriptions and providing her patients a more holistic approach to healthcare.  Most recently, Watts is founder of Watts Organic Care; a beauty, wellness and skin care company, offering 100% certified organic products.
