Instagram-focused Camera Socialmatic’s Price Tag Details Unveiled

Instagram-focused camera has been in news for quite some time and people are desperately waiting to hear some news on its price tag. Well, your wait is over now as Socialmatic has unveiled the specifications on their Facebook page. You can get your hands on Socialmatic in early 2014 and it will cost $300. For those of you who are not fully aware of what Socialmatic is all about, here is a small recap. A Polaroid-branded digital camera, Socialmatic is embedded with a built-in printer followed by onboard photo-filter software; thereby making you print or upload pictures to Instagram, twitter and Facebook. Using email and MMS, pictures can also be sent to friends through the same.

As a matter of fact, Socialmatic will feature a 14-megapixel front-facing sensor followed by a 2-megapixel rear-camera. Other specifications include a Zink instant printer, a 4.3-inch touchscreen stereo speaker, GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-fi. Details on the exact mobile OS, RAM and processing capabilities it will use, are yet to be unveiled. Most interestingly, as the camera will have Polaroid-style printing capabilities, it gives you the power to print any photo with a comment. Not only that, each photo will have its own QR code. A concept, which was started by Italy-based ADR studios in 2012 is slowly gaining popularity everywhere. The company has not yet revealed when the camera will be available though, but it is certain that they would start taking pre-orders pretty soon.
