Indian foundry industry, which stands only next to China in terms of castings production and currently in a growth trajectory because of growing production and consumption patterns, was highly in need of a global platform that could spell out the industry‘s strengths, trends, developments, concerns on a global leveland connect with its global counterparts projecting India as the best ´foundry destination‘. In this sense ´Foundry Review‘ will become a mouthpiece of Indian foundry industry on a global platter.

Elaborating further on the need for a dedicated magazine like ´Foundry Review‘, said Ms Bina Verma, Managing Director of Asian Industry & Information Services Pvt. Ltd. and publisher of ´Foundry Review‘, “More than 5,000 foundries exist in India and there is a consistent rise in the number of small and medium scale foundries capable of providing international quality castings assisting various industries and exporting to the US and European markets. Further, opportunities are splurging because of increased spending by Government on infrastructure activities and enhanced demand from automotive and industrial castings, as it will pose added demand for foundry products. Amid this, besides upgrading capacities and ensuring green processes, Indian foundry industry needs to connect with the globe to explore global opportunities. Also, there is a huge need of a regular flow of the news and developments concerning the industry, which will only add to its progression. This new tabloid will address to these requirements and allow various stakeholders take informed decisions and stay connected with global counterparts.”

A monthly tabloid ´Foundry Review‘ will emphasize on vital issues like improving cost competitiveness, energy efficiency, health & safety, environment, waste management, and subjects of topical interests that could help facilitate ´Made in India‘ brand in the international foundry market and vice-versa.

´Foundry Review‘ will cater to subjects related to the fast evolving metallurgical sector.  Ã¢â‚¬Å“The resourceful foundry content, including government policies, export and import data, domestic and international updates, techno trends, would certainly help the foundry community take informed decisions,” added Ms Verma.
