IIM Indore has been in the news for various reasons. Besides other reasons, it was declared best business school of the country in 2013, it runs many career oriented course, it has a team that built top class learning infrastructure. It is on the way of bringing more glories under able guidance of Prof.Ravichandran, Director of IIM Indore.
Prof. Ravichandran is very optimistic about the much talked IPM program after Std XIIth. He speaks about teaching management in a social sciences setting. He also says that it is far better to work with younger minds and influence them with the right mix of subjects across various disciplines ranging from study of civilizations to literature combined with traditional management subjects.
He shares his point of view on placements and career opportunities and believes that IIM Indore will be at its peak in 2 years. He also said that while he hopes that students at IIM Indore get the best possible career opportunities, the institution is in the business of imparting education and not in the business of being a placement agency. According to him, the best schools in the world do not have a placement process and Indian schools need to rethink the concept of a formal placement process.
The five-year integrated program in Management (IPM), the first of its kind in India launched by IIM Indore, is a unique and creative program to meet the aspirations of young students to become management professionals, change agents and societal leaders.
IPM is aimed at students who have passed out of class XII/Higher Secondary or equivalent from various schools in India. It is widely believed that our ability to influence younger students is greater. Therefore, IIM Indore's objective is to attract young students, groom and mould them as outstanding leaders through a world class education. IPM, therefore, is a strategic fit in the overall context, vision and mission of IIM Indore.
The IPM, a residential program, is a unique opportunity for the Institute to make a contribution in this important social space. It is also an exciting option for the young boys and girls to charter their profession in the area of management with a wider scholarly academic background in a social sciences setting.

Eligibility criteria for this program requires a minimum of 60% aggregate marks at Secondary/X Standard/Equivalent and at Higher Secondary/XII/+2 level/Equivalent for General and NC-OBC category candidates (55% aggregate marks at Secondary/X Standard/ Equivalent and at Higher Secondary/XII/+2 level/Equivalent for SC, ST and PWD / DA candidates).
