Creating a Micro Roadmap for the Macro Vision

An institution that strengthens India- Japan Strategic Partnership by creating a new socio-economic framework 

New Delhi: Soon after the first ever visit of His Royal Highness Emperor Akihito and his royal consort, Empress Michiko, Delhi NCR will witness the second India Japan Global Partnership Summit (IJGPS) from the 15th to 18th of December 2013, at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, NCR

Introduction                                                

The Summit is an initiative of India Center Foundation (ICF), a not for profit & non-partisan organization that has been working diligently as a catalyst to India’s nation-building processes.  

ICF has already hosted a successful first edition of IJGPS in 2011 in Tokyo, Japan. The second IJGPS promises its participants a galaxy of star-studded intelligentsia, policy makers and corporate giants, both Indian & Japanese. IJGPS 2013 will take forward the vision of ICF’s dynamic Chairman, Mr. Vibhav Kant Upadhyay, who has worked hard at cementing India Japan relations over 17 years.   

“The India‐Japan Global Partnership Summit is a platform for leaders of India and Japan to interact and discuss a micro road map for the macro vision for the two countries. I look forward to welcoming experts from various fields, strengthening the bond created over the past Summit and continue our growth story, ”said Mr Vibhav Kant Upadhyay, Founder and Director General of India-Japan Global Partnership Summit (IJGPS) and Chairman of ICF.

 The Summit

The Summit boasts of the leadership of stalwarts such as Mr. Sam Pitroda, Chairman IJGPS 2013 & Advisor PM India, Hon. Shiozaki Yasuhisa, Chairman IJGPS 2013, Member, House of Representatives- Japan and Former Cabinet Secretary of the first Shinzo Abe cabinet, Hon. Yoshimasa Hayashi, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries- Japan, Hon. Hakubun Shimomura, Minister for Education & Science- Japan and Shri Mukesh Ambani, Mentor IJGPS 2013.

The Second India Japan Global Partnership Summit is a continuation of our efforts to find solutions to challenges of a new Socio Economic framework for India, Japan and our Global Partners. Our efforts to make this Summit a success lies in our conviction that Social Empowerment and inclusive Growth should be our most cherished objective.” Said Hon. Highlights 

The Summit will unveil a host of exciting new initiatives ranging from Smart Knowledge and Agricultural Corridor, High Speed Railways, Smart Cities, and infrastructure strengthened Trans- Asian Buddhist Circuit to new Healthcare & Education models, ideated & developed with the mission of transforming India into an energy efficient, environmentally responsible and sustainable economy where growth is all inclusive resulting in the social empowerment of all its people.  

Mr. Sam Pitroda, Chairperson IJGPS 2013 says that the “Present socio-economic scenario in India is indicative of the dire need for reform. What better platform than the India Japan Global Partnership Summit which seeks to address the challenges that face our nation and encourages thought leaders and policy makers to sit down together with industry icons and the intelligentsia to develop workable solutions adapted to our particular circumstances.” 

Besides the Summit, participants can visit the thematic Expo showcasing the strength of various Indian and Japanese companies, State sponsored exhibits and Handicrafts from India and Japan.
