I want to die on the sets of my film! — Karan Johar
Karan Johar is known to wear his heart on his sleeve. But on the recent episode of UTV STARS’ YehHaiMeriKahani, the director got very nostalgic speaking about his journey in the industry. He spoke at length about his journey in the film industry and also mentioned that he loves the industry and his work so much that he hopes to continue working till the last day of his life.
Karan’s journey unlike most others has not been that tragic or difficult. He started his journey on the sets of Yash Chopra’s film as an assistant and debuted as a director with Shahrukh Khan and Kajol in the lead roles of the superhit â€˜KuchKuchHotaHai’! This was followed by yet another blockbuster, â€˜Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ which had some of the biggest superstars of the industry! Karan also mentioned that whatever he is today is because of Yash Chopra, Aditya Chopra and Shahrukh Khan. He owes it to them for being so successful today! Karan mentioned that â€˜Mu Name is Khan’ was the most stressful movie in his career because of the political complications arose and hopes that he never has to go through that stress ever again. He spoke about his love for movies and said that he’s very happy with the career he’s chosen for himself and wouldn’t have been happier in any other field. Speaking of which, he also said that he wants to continue working till the last day of his life and literally wants to die on the sets of his own film!
