Honorable President of India Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil inaugurated the DSK SUPINFOCOM International campus in Pune
All roads lead to DSK Supinfocom on 2nd December, 2011 when Honorable President of India Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil inaugurated the DSK SUPINFOCOM International campus in Pune amid loud cheer and applause. Befitting the technological ambience at the campus she lit the traditional ceremonial lamp with the help of remote. The President along with other eminent visiting dignitaries addressed a vast sea of humanity which had assembled on the campus to participate in the inauguration of the unique campus. Today, she said, that the global
animation and gaming industry offers tremendous opportunities to young
students in conceptualizing and creating animation so that the country
creates a name for itself in the creative areas. In her Presidential address she informed that the industry is set to grow at 10 percent per annum in the next two
years and would become a $170 billion industry. As a result the Indian
animation and gaming sector which derives revenues from international
production houses and game development companies is on the cusp of
significant growth. As a result of the inauguration of this campus the
lacking component of well trained human resources with help from
DSKSupinfocom will be filled up.

On the occasion, she also threw light on the ever-increasing problem of female infanticide.
The Ambassador of France Mr Francois Richier said creation of the
beautiful campus of 20 acres in less than 2 years time can only be a
product of men and women of vision. Mr Richier said digital technology
and education are both fields of increasing cooperation between France
and India. The Speaker of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Shri Dilip
Walse Patil, Mr Dominique Riquet European Union Member of Parliament &
Mayor of Valenciennes and Mr Francis Aldebert President of Grand
Hainaut Chamber of Commerce in France and Mr Devisingh Shekhawat were
present at the function.

Echoing a similar sentiment, with the President of India Mr D.S. Kulkarni, Chairman of DSK Group highlighted the significance and relevance of vocational education in the 21st century. In an emotional and passionate speech with confidence he stated that this DSK Supinfocom school would create hands that would offer jobs and not ask for jobs. He assured that the world‘s best education in the fields of design, animation film making and video game design would now be offered in Pune, India that would nail India on the international map of education and Indian students need not go abroad to seek superior quality vocational education.

The campus has now thrown its doors open to students worldwide. About 30,000 students will be flocking to the campus to participate in the 3-day youth festival that begins today at the campus. The festival is called Supinfomania.
Along with the thrill of winning prizes every 15 minutes, the Fest will conclude each day with enthralling performances like the Quidams, a troop of French street artists flown in all the way from Etrez, France , Kwak, a rock band from Paris, Swarathma our very own Rock band. And the Closing finale would be a performance by Shankar, Ehsaan, Loy, Live at the DSK Supinfocom International Campus, Pune.

Also, the fest will host the internationally reputed, Lumiere Digitale Animation film festival, where over 150 best animated films created by students will be showcased and will also witness the presence of global Animation Stalwarts at the “Buyers and Sellers” meet.
