The ministry of State Government of Maharashtra gives a special jurisdiction to the State’s Higher and Technical Education Minister. He is responsible for degree and diploma level institutions in Engineering and Technology, Architecture, Pharmacy, Hotel Management and Catering Technology including various other diverse higher education fields. The Minister is also entrusted with the monitoring and control of management institutions imparting degree and diploma level training in various branches of management.
