October 17, 2016 — Manchester, United Kingdom — Hexio is launching a Kickstarter campaign to bring to the market their compact and affordable advanced air purifier.

Living in a big city usually means sacrificing your right for fresh, clean air. While many studies have proven it to be a sad reality for outdoor environment, the air in houses and offices can also be very harmful to our health. It combines volatile organic compounds, dander, spores, and other minuscule particles. Hexio has come up with the solution to improve the quality of indoor air dramatically.

Most currently available air purifiers are not effective in fighting viruses, small mold spores, formaldehyde from furnishings and NO2 from traffic fumes.  Hextio employs a combination of the mirrored chamber and chrome reflective and refractive multi-hexagon filters which greatly improve the ultraviolet C (UVC) efficiency.  Nano coated TiO2 filters surround the UVC to ensure optimum photo-catalysis. The amplified reactor chamber increases the purification efficiency ten times. Hexio doesn’t store pollutants, viruses, and bacteria like most purifiers do. It destroys them.

Multiple built-in sensors constantly sample the air for volatile organic compounds such as dust, germs, and gasses. If the air is clean, the Hexio logo glows blue. If the sensors identify harmful elements, it turns red and automatically switches the fan to full power and neutralizes the danger.

“Air pollution is a problem that affects us all, and it is getting worse. According to the United Nations World Health Organization, 92 percent of the world population lives in places where the air is dangerous for their health. While changing the situation requires joint efforts of governments, businesses and millions of people, you can significantly improve your indoor environment right now. And it won’t break your bank,” said Richard Greenwood, the founder of radic8, the company behind Hexio.

He combined forces with the experts in science and technology from INBair  - one of the most reputable companies in the industry who are based in South Korea.

Hexio is energy efficient and uses only 15 watts of power. The reactor cell’s life is 8000 hours. The carbon filter lasts roughly six months. With the device price for Kickstarter backers starting at  $109, it is the most affordable advanced air purifier both in initial and operating costs.

Clean and safe air is inevitable for health. It is especially critical in places like nursing homes and hospitals, and for people struggling with allergies. The Hexico’s founder believes that a healthy environment is not a luxury. It should be available to everyone, and this innovation will make a difference in the quality of life for people around the globe.
