Try to avoid relative terms in URLs like session IDs so as not to confuse search engines. Instead, make all of your URLs permanent so that you can keep all the link juice to a single URL and boost it up the search engine results page to the very top.

Make it your goal to own a small, specific amount of search keywords in your copy. You don't need to approach copywriting like you need to have every last potential keyword stuffed into the story itself. If you do that, soon your story will have lost its personality, making it unenjoyable for your visitors to read. Instead choose a handful of keywords that you want to focus on and layer them throughout your content. This way, you will make your content more readable and, to the search engines, you own those keywords even more which helps your rankings.

The simplest way to ascertain your keyword strength relative to that of your competitors, is to spend time online searching and ranking your site's online presence, based upon the top 100 results generated by each of the top search engines. These tests should be completed periodically to reflect changing search engine algorithms, which tend to shake things up a bit.

Distinguish your post titles using H1 tags. To Google and other search engines, H1 tags are the signal that the marked copy is the page's title. Make sure the words in your H1 tagged title also appear in your story, as search engines will inspect the body copy to make sure the title and the post content are consistent with each other.

Competition for top rankings will only get stronger over time. You can get a head start by slowly phasing out the use of frames in your site design. Using frames makes your site noticeably slower to load and takes users more time to navigate. It also makes it more difficult for web crawlers and spiders to access the information contained within the frame itself.

Use a keyword tool, such as Google AdWords, to find out what keywords users are searching with to find sites like yours. The tool gives you approximations on the number or searches conducted with any given keyword. This will help you to fine tune your specific key word phrases. Doing so helps to drive the most traffic toward your site.

Consider giving away free stuff or other promotional items within your website. If you have different things to give away you will vastly increase the number of people who link to your page. This is an excellent way to rise up in the search engine ranks. Make sure that it is cost feasible though.

To get search engine traffic from your images, make use of the ALT tag. The ALT tag allows you to add text to the image's description, which means your image can be appropriately indexed by search engines. A high ranking in Google Image Search will draw many users to your site, and the ALT tag is the best way to achieve this.

With all of the billions of results that you could get while trying to search on a search engine, wouldn't it be nice to find what you were looking for right off the bat? Apply the knowledge that you have obtained from this article to get the results you are looking for!
