HDFC ERGO organizes free health camp for villagers

 

 

Jaunpur: HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company Limited in association with  FINO organized free health check-up camp for the people of Jaunpur. The purpose of theinitiative is to provide basic health care facilities to the people in the interiors of India. HDFC ERGO has been offering weather insurance index based covers to farmers in India. This service was initiated in the year 2011 and has covered 2.2 million farmers in 9 states (67 districts).

 

The health camp was held in Pradhamik Vidhyalaya (primary school) Muftiganj block of Nishan village on 23^rd & 24^th April, 2013. The camp was started from morning 10:00 to 06:00 PM.

 

The camp availed the following facilities to people:

• A team of experienced doctors and nurses were available on the these mentioned dates at the venue.
• OTC medicines were available for the villagers for free of Cost
• Ambulance services was available in case required 

 

The camp provided free eye check-up and dental check-up along with general health check up to the people.

Member of Executive Management and Head - Corporate Business & Rural Agri Business, HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company said, “We have undertaken this initiative in order to extend our services in the rural India. With the help of central and state governments, we endeavor at initiating more of such initiatives & activities in future for the well-being of the society with aim to make basic healthcare accessible to all."

 

HDFC ERGO will be organizing two more camps in Chandauli district in Pradhamik Vidhyalaya (primary school) Sahibganj block of Amoo village on 25^th & 26^th April, 2013 and in Pradhamik Vidhyalaya (primary school), Tulsi Ashram post, Sakaldiha block of Khor village on 27^th & 28^th April, 2013. Both the camps were started from morning 10:00 to 06:00 PM.
