Govinda completes 25 years in films; Appears in the inaugural episode of Movers & Shakers on SAB TV

Mumbai: SAB TV, India‘s leading family comedy entertainment channel, recently announced the return of “Movers and Shakers” to be hosted by the inimitable Shekhar Suman. Bollywood superstar and dancing sensation Govinda will grace the inaugural episode of Movers and Shakers on March 12that 10:30 p.m. on SAB TV.

Movers & Shakers first episode unraveled a different facet of a usually funny and entertaining Govinda. During a freewheeling chat Govinda revealed never seen facets of his personality which include his experiences during his political journey, he clarified all rumors surrounding his superstitions, paid a tribute to his mother and dedicated a beautiful bhajan to her and lots of entertainment that will keep audiences glued on to their seats.

Anooj Kapoor, EVP & Business Head, SAB TV said that, “Currently, there is no show that takes harmless, humorous potshots at the goings-on in the country. Movers and shakers is one show that appeals to audiences across age groups, has a strong recall value and its host Shekhar Suman‘s unique style is admired by one and all. The focus of the show will of course be on today‘s Movers & Shakers, alongwith a satirical take on the relevant contemporary events.”

Govinda speaking on the occasion said, “It‘s great to see Movers and Shakers making a comeback and Shekhar is the USP of this show. I have always admired his sense of humour.His sense of timing and delivery with comedy is amazing and I am glad that he is back to doing Movers and Shakers ´dobara‘.”

Shekhar Suman was thrilled to meet Govinda and said, “It is fantastic to have Govinda as the guest on the first episode of Movers & Shakers. It felt great to reminiscence about the old days. While we were shooting it brought back a flood of old memories when he came on the show in the first season. Despite having spent 25 years in the industry he hasn‘t changed one bit. He still is the same humble guy whom I first met way back in 1985.”

Govinda and Shekhar Suman, coincidentally, have quite a bit in common. They both started their career in the film industry in 1985; both tried their hand at politics; both tried singing as a career. They got along like a house on fire during the shoot with Govinda enacting some of his memorable characters, singing and dancing with Govinda also teaching Shekhar a few dance steps.
