Glenmark Indore Employees volunteer their services for the cause of tribal villagers of Yeshvant Nagar

 

Dedicates an entire day in Shramdaan and educating the village children on the importance of good health and hygiene

 

INDORE, Over 60 employees based at Glenmark’s manufacturing facility at Pithampur, near Indore volunteered their services for the benefit of the tribal villagers living in the Yeshvant Nagar region located around 15 km from Prithampur. The initiative was conducted in association with Spandan Samaj Sewa Samiti, an NGO working on the issue of malnutrition in tribal regions of Madhya Pradesh and local NGO - Concept Society.

 

Glenmark employees dedicated an entire day in ‘Shramdaan’ (voluntary physical labour), undertaking activities like land leveling and cleaning for the benefit of the villagers. They also built a make-shift bridge over a stream in Yeshvant Nagar, which will help the villagers cart their goods.

 

The employees’ also spent some quality time with the children of this tribal village, educating them on the importance of good health and hygiene practices in a fun and interactive manner.

As a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, Glenmark has been actively working towards improving Child Health and reducing Infant/Child Mortality in over 100 tribal villages in Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh.
