Orlando, FL— September 25, 2015 — Zingiberacea is a plant family where ginger and the medicinal powerhouse turmeric belong. These two kitchen ingredients are believed to have remarkable health benefits for those with a life-threatening condition.

Ginger can potentially improve eight markers of type 2 diabetes. Diabetes is a condition that is affecting millions of people around the world. There are many natural ingredients that are believed to be helpful in fighting the condition, and they include ginger.

In the study published by the International Journal of Food Sciences and Nutrition, it was found that the kitchen ingredient ginger can potentially be an effective remedy in the prevention of diabetes and its complications.

“Ginger, just like turmeric, is a popular kitchen ingredient that is also believed to have powerful health benefits,” said VitaBreeze Supplements spokesperson, Michelle O’Sullivan.

The American Diabetes Association published a study in its journal called Diabetes Care. It was found that ginger is effective in the avoidance of type 2 diabetes development among prediabetics. Many experts find the results of the study promising since turmeric is also believed to be beneficial for diabetes.

A new study about ginger involved 70 individuals with type 2 diabetes. The placebo-controlled clinical trial was called “The effect of ginger consumption of glycemic status, lipid profile and some inflammatory markers in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.” The aim of the study was to evaluate the effects of ginger consumption on the lipid profile, glycemic status, and inflammatory markers associated with diabetes.

The trial randomly divided the group; one received ginger and the other a placebo. At the end of the study, it was found that those who received ginger experienced a reduction in insulin, HbA1C, fasting plasma glucose, triglycerides, C-reactive protein, total cholesterol, and prostaglandin. It is important to note that C-reactive protein and Prostaglandin are both markers of inflammation.

The researchers revealed that since ginger has helped improve insulin sensitivity and lipid profile as well as reduced CRP and PGE2 in individuals with type 2 diabetes, it can potentially be used as an effective remedy for avoiding the complications of diabetes.

Natural alternatives such as ginger are widely popular nowadays. Turmeric, which comes from the same plant family as ginger, has been widely used as a natural remedy for a variety of conditions, including arthritis. What pleases health experts and even sufferers is that these natural alternatives seem to be effective but do not cause side effects (www.amazon.com/Turmeric-Curcumin-Complex-BioPerine-Bio-availability/dp/B00JA4TLTI).
