Angelina Jolie replaced Tom Cruise in the upcoming movie Salt.

People in UAE are impatiently waiting for Salt to release. This movie is said to be one of the much awaited films of the year. Along with the main storyline there are many more aspects which have made this movie talk of the town. The film is releasing worldwide on 22nd July 2010. People in UAE have always appreciated action movies so they will surely like this action flick starring Angelina Jolie. Before the making of a film kick starts it passes through many changes but one can not imagine replacing a lead actor with an actress.

This is probably the biggest news about Salt. Eventually this film was scripted keeping in mind that the lead character will be played by a male. It was decided that Tom Cruise will play the main role. Noyce had approached Tom to play Edwin Salt in a script written by Kurt Wimmer. However Cruise was unable to provide dates for this protect because of his commitment to several other projects. At the same time he also found the character of Edwin very much close to what he had played in Mission Impossible. After receiving suggestion from Amy Pascal, Noyce decided to cast Angelina Jolie in the film. This is a great achievement for Jolie to play a lead role in an action movie. Thus the main character Edwin Salt became Evelyn Salt in an upcoming movie Salt.

Film experts have higher expectations with this film and have predicted it to be a blockbuster hit. Every actor in the film has performed very well. This is a story about a woman named Evelyn Salt who is accused of being a spy and has to prove her identity. Angelina Jolie is accompanied by Liev Schreiber, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Daniel Olbrychski, Ander Braugher, Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian. Book your tickets well in advance.
