Eco friendly Ganeshotsav by PR 24x7 Network Limited

Indore: 9th September 2013: Time and again, Ganesh Chaturthi the most awaited festival of Hindus for the year 2013 is being celebrated all over the world today. Lord Ganesha is widely worshipped as the god of wisdom, prosperity, and good fortune and traditionally invoked at the beginning of any new venture or at the start of travel. It is believed that Lord Ganesha becomes happy with the deeds of devotees of all classes, provided prayers are offered without mixing the things affecting environment, the most precious need of  today.

The festival is celebrated for 11 days and the idols of Lord Ganesha,  installed at homes or other places  are dispersed into rivers or sea on Anant Chaturdashi, the last day of Ganeshotsav. This marks the end of festival and devotees pray Him to come next year, early by saying “Ganpati Bappa Morya, purja varshi love karee yaa”.

Though the belief in tradition is part of Indian culture, but we have to be with demand of  time also. Can we imagine what will happen, if all idols made from soil, plaster of parries, papers and other materials are flown into rivers, ponds or sea? All water sources will be highly polluted because of contents including chemicals  and ultimately affecting environment. Looking at the situation, PR 24x7 Network Limited the leading communication of country decided to celebrate the festival by installing a 4” idol in the office made of agriculture soil.

Worldwide, just under 900 million people lack reliable access to safe water that is free from disease and industrial waste. And forty percent do not have access to adequate sanitation facilities. The result is one of the world's greatest public health crises: 4,500 children die every day from waterborne diseases, more than from HIV-AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis combined.

If we are self disciplined and aware of the situation on account of following the rituals, we are sure, we will make our biggest contribution to save earth and water and environment.
