Eaton Names Shyam Kambeyanda to Lead Hydraulics Operations in Asia Pacific Region

PUNE January 19, 2010 … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today announced that Shyam Kambeyanda has been named regional president Asia Pacific, for the Industrial Sector‘s Hydraulics Group. He succeeds Uday Yadav, who was recently named executive vice president Eaton Business System. Kambeyanda will report to William VanArsdale, president of the Hydraulics Group.

Kambeyanda will be located in Shanghai, China, and will oversee the group's sales, marketing and operations infrastructure in Asia Pacific to drive business in the region.

"Shyam is a proven leader who brings significant global management experience and a strong understanding of the Asia Pacific region,” said VanArsdale. “His international insight and successful track record will help us execute our strategic and growth objectives in this important market.”

Kambeyanda joined Eaton in 1995 in its automotive business and has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility in engineering, quality, e-commerce, product strategy and operations management in the U.S., Mexico, Europe and Asia. Most recently, he was managing director, India, and prior to this role he was general manager Engine Air Management Operations, Asia, based in Shanghai. Kambeyanda holds a bachelor's degree in physics and general science from Coe College in Iowa, a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Iowa State University and a master's degree in business administration from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in Illinois.
