Geneva, Switzerland- Dr. Lawrence Gray attended the 21st Congress of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons held in Geneva, Switzerland from September 4th to the 8th, 2012. This conference held every two years was attended by leading plastic surgeons from all over the world. Although just a handful of plastic surgeons were from the United States, those that attended were the opinion makers and leaders. Dr. Lawrence Gray presented three electronic papers, a new method of contributing to the conference so that the many attendees could absorb the information and not miss out on any scientific sessions offered.

The program committee under the direction of Dr. Alain Fogli of France and the Education Council Chair Dr. Nazim Cerkes of Turkey has developed an excellent program including the largest faculty in ISAPS history with topics ranging across the breadth of aesthetic plastic surgery. A new feature this year was free video presentations.

Courses included Accreditation of Surgical Facilities, Patient Safety, Master Classes in Rhinoplasty, Body Contouring, Periocular Rejuvenation, Face & Neck Rejuvenation, Body Contouring Face & Neck Rejuvenation, Aesthetic Breast Surgery, Fat Harvesting and Cell Therapy, and Cosmetic Medicine.

Dr. Lawrence Gray’s e-papers, co-authored by Dr. Brannon Claytor, presented at the European conference were: “Improving Results of Revisional Augmentation Mammoplasty with Conversion to a Submuscular Pocket”, “Correction of Breast Implant Pstosis with Conversion to Composite Muscle Pocket and Placement of a Larger Implant” and “MACS facelift with FATS”.
