December 23, 2013, Dover NH - Dr. Cynthia Cooper, a gynecologist with Gynecology and Infertility Associates of Dover, NH, has been selected to serve as a Trustee for the New Hampshire Medical Society (NHMS).

Founded in 1791, The New Hampshire Medical Society is a voluntary organization of licensed physicians. The Society serves as an advocate for physicians and patients, and is typically involved with issues such as public health, health insurance, liability insurance and tort reform, children’s health, medical records, and prescription drugs. According to NHMS, the Trustees are the guardians of all the special funds of the Society.

“I am honored to continue to help carry out the mission of the Society,” states Dr. Cooper. “As Trustee, I plan to continue the New Hampshire Medical Society’s mission of bringing physicians together to advocate for the well-being of our patients, the profession of practicing medicine, and the improvement of public health. I am delighted to have been asked to serve as a Trustee for such an esteemed organization.”

Dr. Cooper, a past president of NHMS, specializes in general gynecologic care and treatment of infertility. She earned her undergraduate degree from Cornell University and her medical degree from University of Cincinnati. She completed an internship in obstetrics and gynecology at Cedars- Sinai Medical Center and finished her residency at LAC/USC Medical Center in Los Angeles. She recently attended the Physician Leadership Academy at Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management. She also was recently elected to represent New Hampshire as the AMA Alternative Delegate.
