Wolfgang Stegemann, stunt director for Don 2 and the man behind all the on-screen action, produces a special action series for German television called Cobra 11 which will now air on BIG RTL Thrill.

 

Cobra 11 is an international speed-based action series about a two-man team of highway police. The series is best known for its extreme and well executed stunts which inevitably lead to the destruction of multiple automobiles along the German motorway system, Autobahn, in every episode. In fact the stunts which have been executed in Cobra 11 have led to the birth of a popular joke within the television industry in Germany — the automobile industry survives solely due to the show and its stunts, crashes and more!

 

Wolfgang Stegemann has been synonymous with action and stunts since he first started his career in 1998. Since, he has lent his expertise to landmark movies across the globe including Inglorious Basterds, and Valkyrie. His formidable stunts and action style has won him accolades across the globe including the Best Action Awards at the Filmfare Awards and the Screen Awards earlier this year.

 

Shahrukh Khan admits that the stunts designed by Wolfgang Stegemann for Don 2 were more terrifying than all other stunts he has done previously. He added, “I had to jump from a building and when I was standing on the edge I wondered ‘Why am I doing this and not some romantic film?’”
