THE GREEN SQUAD will air on Discovery Kids at 5 pm from Monday to Friday, starting February 18th with a repeat telecast at12.30 pm.

In the Caribbean, the Green Squad is looking into a disturbing drop in the Lesser Antillean iguana population, which is a protected species despite its large numbers. Their research puts them on the trail of curious predator, which they identify with the help of a young student and blogger from India.

Hummingbird Hotel
The Green Squad is in Cuba for a vacation. There they meet Jorge and Joseffa who offer them a stay in their small hotel. During conversationthey spot a hummingbird falling from the air and learn that hummingbirds can’t store energy.Jorge tells them that the giant hotels being built byBetonas, a developer are putting the bird which is also their national emblem in danger. Claire, Thomas and Julian decide to alert the Green Squad Network.

The Green Great Wall

The Green Squad discovers the Great Green Wallin Mauritania. It is a wall of vegetation that will keep the desert from expanding.Jabrel, their guide tells them that the villagers use the trees and plants of the green wall for fulfilling their domestic needs. The Green Squad realizes that this could hinder the project which could save them one day. The squad is successful in convincing the locals about the usefulness of the solar oven.
