Goudhurst based accountancy firm, Charter Tax Consulting Ltd, is supporting a local charity by sponsoring the decoration of a sculpture in Kent.

- South East tax experts sponsor local charity initiative, “Herd of the Hospice?”
- Teamed up with local artist to decorate horse sculpture in Tunbridge Wells
- “Delighted to support the hospice in this novel and creative initiative.”

The charity, Hospice in the Weald, launched its awareness campaign dubbed ‘Herd of the Hospice? ’ on Monday 10th July. Local artists were commissioned to decorate life size horse sculptures, which have been placed in parks and public areas across the South East.

Charter Tax, who also sponsor equestrian eventer Francis Whittington, jumped at the chance to support the initiative, and teamed up with local artist Chris Burke to create a horse named Charter. Inspired by dressage events, Charter can be found in the Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells, sporting a top hat and tails.

Mark Howard, chairman of Charter Tax said, "As a local specialist accountancy practice we are delighted to support the hospice in this novel and creative initiative. We were able to have some input into the design of our horse and think he looks very smart!”

Founder of Charter Tax, Janet Paterson, added, “Being passionate about horses myself, the opportunity to combine sponsorship for the hospice with raising our public profile in this way was too good to miss.”

Alongside Charter are 18 other horses, as well as ponies that were designed and decorated by teachers and pupils of schools across the south east. The horses will be on show until September 2017, with a farewell event and auction taking place in October to raise vital funds for the hospice.
