‘Change Aayega, Hum Laayenge’ addresses the issue of Ragging

~ This week, the show puts light on bullying sessions in colleges which is usually neglected by many ~

Bindass’ unique show, Change Aayega, Hum Laayenge takes up matters faced by youth in their day to day lives and one such issue which is vastly talked about is Ragging and Bullying. Today’s youth commonly face ragging in colleges, but choose to keep quiet out of fear and embarrassment, in turn encouraging the bullies. Suffering takes a back seat and they do not realize the lasting impact it can have on their lives. In order to highlight the importance of taking action in such cases, the show will use a clever satire and a real time social experiment.

The satire begins with Arjun and his batch mates, newly admitted in a college, who get ragged by their senior, Raggi Bhaiyya and his sidekick Chamchu on the first day itself. When Arjun refuses to get bullied and stands against the seniors, Raggi threatens to rag him within the next 24 hours. Arjun tries to convince his batch mates to turn them down in unity and complain to the dean, but the traumatized lads refuse. The next day, Arjun is made to run around the college in boxers and is highly humiliated. In order to teach him a lesson, Arjun plans a trap with the help of his elder brother. As an interviewer, Arjun’s brother makes Raggi do the same things that he made the juniors do while ragging them. Raggi realizes his mistakes and promises to mend his ways.

The final part of the show is a social experiment which is conducted in a college canteen. In order to witness the reactions of youngsters to bullying, their fellow classmates are being ragged by a senior in front of them. Will the students intervene and stop the senior from bullying? Or will they just sit and watch?

To find out the reaction of the youth present, tune-in to Change Aayega, Hum Laayenge this Friday, 9th May 2014 at 6.30pm
