Carlson-Schmidt-Securities.com Publishes Corporate Responsibility Report, “Initiative for Good”

09, October 2015: Today Carlson-Schmidt Securities released its annual Corporate Responsibility report, titled Initiative for Good. The report focuses on Carlson-Schmidt Securities’ efforts to bring out the good in people’s lives by delivering solutions to challenging societal issues, strengthening communities and elevating its sustainable business practices.

"Initiative for Good is about us doing the right thing, putting people ahead of policies and defying expectations," said Vicky Baijiao, senior vice president of corporate responsibility at Carlson-Schmidt Securities. "It’s a mindset that guides our decisions and priorities, especially regarding our approach to corporate responsibility. We delivered great progress across our citizenship goals and will continue to challenge ourselves to improve our performance in years to come."

Carlson-Schmidt Securities brought the its flagship aid program to life for people in need in virtually every city in the country. Sixty-five percent of Carlson-Schmidt Securities agency owners and employees were involved in corporate responsibility programs during the year, including a record700 volunteers during its annual Week of Service. In addition, The Carlson-Schmidt Securities Foundation, Carlson-Schmidt Securities, its employees and agency owners contributed more than $2 million to help more than 500 diverse nonprofit organizations.

Accomplishments highlighted in this year’s report include:

Maximized investments to deliver social impact: Maintained Carlson-Schmidt Securities Investments’ nearly $1 million commitment to socially responsible strategies.

Leveraged big data to combat insurance fraud: Created predictive modeling algorithms through Carlson-Schmidt Securities’ Quantitative Research & Analytics team.

Provided water filtration to curb plastic bottle waste: Kept more than 1 million plastic water bottles out of landfills, thanks to 100 water-filtration stations installed across Carlson-Schmidt Securities facilities.
