Campbell Investments Limited (Campbell) formally announced it is closing client acceptance into the company’s Private Equity Fund EMPORIS that has reached $288 million in committed capital, $74 million above the Fund’s target.

This is the second Campbell Special Fund that managed to raise more capital than initially targeted.

Campbell’s Private Equity Fund EMPORIS has proved to be the firm’s best performing fund in 2015, generating an average return of 18%.

Campbell’s Private Equity Fund EMPORIS invests in a strategically concentrated portfolio of lower -middle market, international -based private equity funds that are often difficult for investors to identify, diligence and access. The Fund focuses on managers led by proven, operationally-oriented investment professionals who have demonstrated an ability to originate differentiateddeal flow, build value in companies post-close and generate premium investment returns. Additionally, Campbell’s Private Equity Fund EMPORIS targets 20 percent of the portfolio in direct equity co-investments to enhance returns and mitigate the Fund’s J-curve.

The Fund attracted capital from returning and new limited partners, the majority of which are institutional investor commitments across corporate pensions, foundations and endowments based internationally.

The Fund’s senior investment team leverages more than 150 years of collective investment experience across private capital asset classes, including significant direct general partner experience that provides an insider’s perspective in the evaluation of fund managers and co-investments.
