Birla Cellulose Organized Hub Meet In Association with Ludhiana Knitters Association
Mumbai, July 2014: Birla Cellulose- world leaders in manufacturing Viscose fibre from the
House of Aditya Birla Group, in association with Ludhiana Knitters Association organized Hub
cum Wholesale Meet in Ludhiana on 6th
stalwarts of Knitting, Processing and Garmenting industry along with spinners for serving the hub
yarn requirements.
The meet started with ceremonial prayer by industrial leaders, followed by the inaugural speech by
Mr. Ajit Lakra (President — Ludhiana Knitters Association and CMD of Superfine Knitters). Mr.
Aseem Doda (Vice President — Birla Cellulose) spoke about Aditya Birla Group and Global Textile
industry followed by Mr. B.P. Nalawade speaking about business scope of the products in textile
applications which supports service value chain. The “New arrivals — Autumn Winter 2015” in
various fashionable blends and Amicor & Pilbloc developments as user friendly applications were
introduced after that.
Pratibha Syntex displayed a wide range of Birla Cellulose based products for Knitting and Woven
customers. While Suneja Textile and Gokultex caught the eye of customers with their Modal Prints
collection in woven. In the bilateral discussion with business partners, various hurdles and remedies
were discussed over the meet like processing stability, Chinese impact and opportunity identification.
