MEXICO CITY- October 11, 2016 - It`s party time and invite you to celebrate with us! This October 16 is celebrated the "World Bread Day”, how not to celebrate a food that has been a fundamental part of the tables around the world, not only contributing to a healthy diet but also delicious.

Have you ever thought that bread accompanies us both in the most important moments like birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, etc. up in day to day? We can all remember a great time at school with our sandwich.

The "World Bread Day" is celebrated since 2006 and was established by the Union Internationale de la Boulangerie et de la Boulangerie- Pattisserie (UIB) to remember the benefits we receive the bread and the variety of breads and dishes to enjoy with it.

It is amazing to think that bread is a food of high nutritional value consumed worldwide for centuries. Therefore, and in honor of this day we share 5 reasons that bread should be part of our diet.

1.- Bread is an excellent source of carbohydrates, nutrients responsible for providing us energy to perform all our activities. Between 55-60% of the calories in our diet should come from this nutrient.

2.- Bread is one of the best dietary sources of vitamin B complex, which contribute to the proper functioning of nervous and muscular system and are involved in the metabolism of carbohydrates.
