Water Play Park

As it is the first of its kind in Coffs Harbour, the Water Park will offer a highly-attractive addition to the current attractions and ‘things to do’ on the Coffs Coast, contributing to the visitor economy through that increased visitor expenditure, whilst highlighting the natural attractions and eco-diversity of our region. The main aim of the Water Park is to provide an exciting, fun and educational facility for kids and to strengthen and distinguish the Coffs Coast and the BIG4 EBHP as an attractive and appealing destination for domestic and international visitors, specifically families and day-trippers passing through the Coffs Coast on the Legendary Pacific Coast Drive.

More specifically, the Water Park will highlight several of Coffs Harbor’s key assets:

- Promote the Solitary Islands Coastal Walk — a gateway is located within the park, alongside the proposed Water Park
- Highlight the history of the South Solitary Islands Lighthouse
- Provide education on the Solitary Island Marine Park and its wildlife including whale watching, dolphins and seabirds
- Advocate the range of outdoor activities such as surfing, swimming, walking and wildlife watching located at the door steps of the Park
- Showcase the diversity of the Coffs Coast’s marine and land wildlife
- Promote Emerald Beach as a destination on the Legendary Pacific Coast and point of interest and excitement for visitors stay overnight or stop in to experience.
