Nana Patekar was born in 1951 in the small town of Murud-Janjira, Maharastra. After completing his education from Shri J.J Institute of Applied Arts, Mumbai, Patekar started his journey in the film Industry. He acted in movies like Gaman, Mohre, Salaam Bombay, Parinda, Khamoshi, Ab Tak Chapan, Deool to name a few, where he made a mark for himself in the cinematic world. He has won many accolades including the National Film Award, Filmfare awards, etc. for his unconventional roles.

Despite having a huge fan following over the decades Nana Patekar leads a very simple life. A man who is known for his generosity donating to poor people and raising funds for charity, he is truly an inspiration for many youngsters today.
