Mental illness is one of the leading causes of disability in the United States and Canada.
September 7, 2013 - Doctors unable to come up with a physical explanation for a patient's symptoms just label patients with a mental illness and the patient, wanting to feel better just simply accepts the doctor's diagnosis. As Americans we medicate and self-medicate. Why? Because there is no money in the cure!
Currently over 57.7 million people over the age of 18, have been diagnosed with some form of mental illness. How can so many people be crazy? Americas crazy. The average hourly wage is $10.00 per hour and that's just for the people lucky enough to have a job. We have lost family members fighting in foreign wars. The dream of home ownership is completely gone. The average gallon of gas costs $3.00. The divorce rate is at an all time high. Most Americans can't afford health care, insurance or funeral costs. Our churches are packed, but only the preacher's pockets are full. College educated individuals can't afford to live and repay their student loans. These things are not hallucinations or imagined threats. These things are real and stressing Americans out and at the root of any illness is stress.
