An OpEx green belt plays a pivotal role in project management

From defining the problem statement to creating a project charter to collecting and analyzing data to process improvement to process control, there is a smooth flow that needs to be executed. Six sigma doesn’t allow any deviations from these defined phases and hence DMAIC management can be termed as simple or difficult depending on the situation.

If a project is small then the green belt is given the responsibility of leading and managing the project. For more complex project the green belt works as a team member. The green belt works with the master black belt to see that the project objectives and outcomes and timelines are managed. The green belt also works with the champion to get and analyze data. The green belt is also required to manage the logistics for the project team including calling for meetings.
