BIG MAGIC announces the launch of India’s first Historical comedy Har Mushkil Ka Hal — Akbar Birbal

 Premiering on 28th April, the show features actors Kiku Sharda, Delnaz Irani, Vishal Kotian and Kishwar Merchant in the lead roles

 

National: BIG MAGIC, India’s first light entertainment channel featuring the best mix of shows ranging from fun relationship dramas, rom-coms, hilarious comedy sitcoms and comedy movies now brings India’s first Historical Comedy — Har Mushkil ka Hal - Akbar Birbal to the small screen. Featuring some of the best in comedy and television entertainment, the show will have Kiku Sharda, Delnaz Irani, Vishal Kotial and Kishwar Merchant, offering a laugh riot! Premiering on April 28th, the show will entertain audiences at 9:00pm each weeknight.

 

Says actor Kiku Sharda, “We have all grown up with the stories of Akbar-Birbal. This will be my take on the character that I have loved since childhood. While the morals remain the same, we will be presenting the stories in a light-hearted and fun manner. I am hoping that the audience will enjoy the series as much as they have enjoyed listening and reading the stories of the epic duo.”

 

Akbar Birbal stories have had a timeless appeal across generations.  A mix of smart wit and learning’s these stories have been an integral part of every kid’s life in India.  The appeal for these stories still remains very strong as they are very relevant in today’s times. BIG MAGIC presents these tales in a fresh, comedy avatar, which promises to leave audiences in splits. Produced by Meenakshi Sagar, the very first historical comedy of India presents the most iconic characters in a comedy adaptation never seen before on Indian Television. Popular actor Kiku Sharda will be seen essaying the role of Emperor Akbarwhile Delnaz Irani will be playing the part of his wife Jodha. Vishal Kotial has been roped in as Birbal while Kishwar Merchant will be essaying the role of a courtesan madly in love with Birbal. Known for their excellent comic timing and fan base, the viewers can expect not only a visual but a comic treat as well.

 

Portrayed as a doting wife, Delnaz will be seen constantly nagging her husband on ways to run his empire. What Rani Saheba gets jealous of is the bond thatAkhbar shares with his most trusted advisor and confidante Birbal.

 

Says Delnaz Irani, “I have been a part of a lot of sitcoms for many years now, but when I was offered the character of Rani Saheba, I just couldn’t refuse it! The team has spent a good amount of time in developing the look of my character and I hope the audience likes my new avatar. I am portraying the character of a queen so I had to improvise on the mannerisms and ‘adah’ as a reflection of the same. Through this role, I feel like a queen myself!”
