On the CSR front, the company implements a comprehensive programme that reaches out to half a million people among its host communities, creating livelihoods, providing health & education and building rural infrastructure.

The Awards are a part of the CII-ITC Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development’s continued efforts to create awareness, promote policies and practices, and create capacity to mainstream sustainability practices. Not only do the Awards help acknowledge exemplary enterprises for their pioneering efforts, but this recognition also serves to create beacons of inspiration for others to follow.

This year, nearly 50 applicant companies underwent a rigorous evaluation process that includes an on-site assessment by a peer team of CII-certified assessors, who spent approximately 1000 man-hours per application over a period of six months. The final shortlist of winning applicants was validated by a preeminent jury comprising leaders from government, industry, civil society and academia.
